CETP News
  • Volunteer "Alumni Coordinator" Needed! We can supply the materials and funds (and address labels!) if you can supply the elbow grease and enthusiasm. It's a great way to re-connect with long lost buddies and meet other former CETPers. Interested? Please email Mary.
Alumni Liaison

Yes! I'm a former CETP/Teach Hungary teacher, and I want to get re-connected with the program! I’ll be sure to send my current address plus my e-mail address. Also, please let us know if you’d be willing to correspond with any interested applicants. We’re always looking for people to get out the good word about CETP, so if you would, we would love to have you write a brief but positive message to Dave’s ESL Café or other useful sites.

Email the CETP office.

Become an Alumni Liaison! If your area doesn't have one, consider becoming the CETP Alumni Liaison for your city or region. Liaisons plan regional gatherings and keep an eye out for Hungarian/Romanian/Polish or Central European cultural events in the area and alert the other alumni in the region about the upcoming event. They are also a resource for the incoming CETP teachers in the area, that is, the teachers getting ready to depart for Hungary or Romania.

Yes! I want to be the alumni contact for my area! Email Us

Currently, we have three Liaisons:

Washington, DC area:
Mike Mullen, former CETP Director,
mmullen29@earthlink.net

Minneapolis/St. Paul:
Laura Krause, Hungary 1999-2000

San Francisco Bay Area:
Donna Fenton, Hungary 1995-1998
donnamarief@hotmail.com

Interested in Hungarian crafts, folk art, and interesting towns in Hungary? Visit alumna Donna Fenton's website at: http://www.lmntl.com

CETP wants to know what you are up to and where you are! We have made a concerted effort in the last couple years to increase the range of events and services for our former teachers, and our efforts begin with keeping in touch with you. Each issue of CETPNews features a section devoted to updates on our former teachers around the world, so please send us a few sentences about what you are doing and where you are.. Also, we want to keep you in touch with each other as well so you can catch up with the friends you made in Hungary, Poland or Romania. See the on-line Alumni Directory to find out who's where!
